This is by far the best phone i have ever used. I have been using it for 2 years and i have no intention of replacing it anytime soon. The camera quality is decent for everyday use.
Autofocus works really well, especially for text. The LED flash light is very very bright, even more bright than any flashlight i own. I use the LED flash as a flashlight every single day for lighting up the door lock or when i'm working inside my computer or any other low light job. Speaker is loud and clear, microphone is also great for calls or sound recording.
Stable GPS and wifi. Good screen overall. I used the original motorola kitkat firmware and i was happy with it. After the lollipop upgrade, i was very disappointed with how slow it had become. This made me research about custom firmwares until i was comfortable enough to root my phone. Now i feel like i have control over my phone and not the other way around, as it should be. The only real downside to this phone is the lack of sdcard slot.
It's something really cheap to implement on any phone and makes a huge difference. The 2nd and 3rd version of this phone does have a sdcard slot. All in all, best phone i purchased so far. One person found this helpful. I agree with all of the pros that some of the most helpful reviewers that have pointed out. The main reason why I'm reviewing now is that I've come across a problem, it seems the sim card part of the phone has gotten a mechanical problem. Yesterday I opened up the back plate to change sim cards to test something.
Oddly enough as soon as I take my backplate off the sim card slips out straight away. I try and reinsert it, it stays in place for a second then it slips out again, so there seems to be something wrong with the catch that keeps the sim in place. I tried a different sim card and the same happens. Now at the moment though I keep the sim card in place by putting the backplate on from the sim side, it's probably what kept it in place before I opened the backplate up this time.
Now though I have ordered a replacement and I'll update the review once I've had it for a week or so.
Motorola MOTO G (2nd Gen) - 8GB - Black (Unlocked) Smartphone
I'm not really into smartphones bit of a dinosaur! I did a little market research and began to see the name Motorola cropping up time after time for budget phones with great reviews, and I really do mean great reviews. I keep finding new things to 'play with'. Definitely happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for either their first smartphone or a budget smartphone. I am genuinely amazed at how good the Moto G is considering the price tag. It feels solid in your hand and is very comfortable to use. The screen has a great resolution, and the overall build and functionality is superb.
The battery life is ok, lasting a day or so between charging, and the Android operating system is quick, and fairly straight forward to use. The camera works really well in bright, daylight situations, but it does struggle a bit at night, or when you are in doors. The only slight issue I have found is that it's really easy to fill the 8G of memory, and there is no option to expand it. That said, it's super simple to back up my files on Google Drive, meaning I can delete any unwanted photos or videos from the device and free up some space.
Unshakable image quality keep it steady. Shake things up.
I've been struggling with a blackberry for a long time and it was time to get an iphone or a Samsung If you are looking for a phone to make calls, text, email, bit of browsing, social media and take photos then go for it. It has lots of great features and a really smooth user interface. One great function is being able do voice control like "set alarm for 7am tomorrow". I'm really please with my purchase. It was delivered quickly and came in a small package. Lets start with the downside - I bought this then they announced the 4G version!
The screen is a delight, the speed when using it is fine and enough free memory for plenty apps.
Motorola MOTO G (2nd Gen) - 8GB - Black (Unlocked) Smartphone
Had a round of updates before other phones as almost plain Android and worked fine afterwards. The real steal aspect was the price and quality. You couldnt get another phone as good in my opinion at the time. Would recommend without hesitation as a first phone or even as a backup. This product is cheap, but of great quality.
It is beautiful and very easy to use. Since the moment I turned it on, I was assisted in the uploading process of all my contacts from my old android galaxy SII and the routinely use of the moto g is very immediate. The battery shows good performances, it can last for hours with one charge, while being always connected on wifi. I am very happy of this purchase and I would totally advise it to anybody looking for a nice product but with a reasonable cost.
My phone was shipped with the latest version of android 4. This was a great upgrade from a samsung s4! The camera is nowhere near as good but the software experience and speediness of the phone is fantastic. I moved from a nexus 4 to S4 and immediately regretted my choice.
